What inspired you to join the FitX community?

 

It was simple. The success stories I was hearing about and the visual results I could easily see in the friends and family around me that were practicing the FitX Crossfit methodology were unbelievable. In my own opinion I was in fairly decent shape, however I still wasn’t convinced. Then came my first workout with Sonia; it simply destroyed me. I’ve been a dedicated believer ever since and I’m now in the best shape of my life and a certified Crossfit Trainer.

In your opinion, what keeps you coming back day after day?

The program is based on constantly varied, functional movements completed at high intensity. Simply put, the correct formula of metabolic conditioning and functional weight training for both long and short time durations, or set rep rounds makes all the difference. Everyday is something new, a completely new set of tasks that challenge both mind and body. Always challenging, never boring. Sonia’s Crossfit and personal programing is 100% scalable to every level, it’s tailored for both the “couch potato” to the elite competitive athlete and everyone in between. Sonia is there with you every step of the way, pushing and training you each and every day. She motivates, educates, and elevates your fitness levels like never before. FitX recently moved to a new facility, what do you think of what the new gym has to offer?

The new FitX facility is fantastic! It offers absolutely everything one would need to chase their personal fitness goals. It doesn’t matter if you want to shed a few pounds or chase a personal best in your next competition. You’ll find what you need here. From weight racks and benches with rubber bumper plates, to XBikes, Concept 2 rowers, treadmills, POWER hour fitness classes, XBike classes, medicine balls, ropes, boxes, a full complement of  circuit training equipment, and 100′s of personal customized workouts that change weekly. Absolutely nothing is missing, just you and your will to succeed!

Were you scared or intimidated to try your first workout?

No, and after walking into the facility and trying my first WOD (workout of the day) my opinions were confirmed. FitX is a community of like minded individuals who chase a common goal. Everyone pushes one another to be better each and every time they walk through the door. No egos, just great people. Friends and community helping each other reach their goals.

What is the biggest or most notable change you have seen in yourself since you began training at FitX?

As someone who likes to push his limits day in and day out the biggest change for me has been my desire to get better. I’ve always pushed myself, but when the results became this significant and apparent, driving myself to the next level became that much easier. I’m stronger, faster, much leaner and more defined. My work capacity to run, bike, etc at an elite level is incredible. I have made leaps and bounds in so many areas it’s hard to pin point just one.

What are your fitness goals for the next 12 months?

To keep pushing myself to the next level. I competed in several running races last year with very little running training and placed extremely high. With a little more dedicated focus on the running aspect of my fitness I plan on hitting the podium several times. I also hope to bike in several events, do a half marathon and maybe even a duoathalon or two. Skies the the limit with what FitX has helped me achieve…
